OK, it has been 8 months since the last visit, so I thought it was time to start planting the seed!!! As I know how this group works and everything takes time!!
One other request, seeing that the new version of Foolish heart has not been released on cd, I was wondering if it might be possible to add this song as an extra on the next side that gets released??? Only if you guy the actual side kind of thing???

It would be grand if Dave would get Kurt to play at the Mill when he is in town for the College of DuPage gig January 16th. _________________ David |

My friends, you're hearing it here first. Not even on the Touring page yet.
Earlier today I asked the Green Mill about the possibility of a mid-January gig since the KEQ will be nearby in Glen Ellyn. I just got this great reply from Andrea Jemilo:
| Quote: | I just updated our web calendar this morning. Unfortunately all of January is already booked. Thanks for thinking of the Green Mill, though. Kurt is scheduled at the Mill for March 12 & 13, so his Green Mill fans will have to wait just a few more months.
Thanks for writing, and enjoy the blue moon! |
YAY!!! Mark your calendars and make plans now. You, too, Rev.

I guess we can compare shows on March 14?
Going to see Muse, it is my daughters favorite group, and they don't tour all that often, so I will be there to see them on Mar 12, and see Kurt the 13th!!

Yes!
I'm not that big of a Muse fan. Can you recommend any songs of theirs to start out listening to. There's nothing worse than going to a concert and not knowing any of the songs being performed. |

Don't know Muse from Adam, but have been hearing Supermassive Black Hole coming out of our basement for weeks now (our teenage boys rehearsing for the high school Battle of the Bands with their friends). In their expert opinion, Hysteria is Muse's best song. |

| I can't believe I'm about to recommend a Muse song on kurtelling.com but I didn't start it! I like "Uprising" for it's 70's glam rock/BBC sci-fi feel. It is definitely not something I'd ever expect to hear KE cover, but then Kurt's surprises are always among his most brilliant works. |

Duly noted!
KE if you get to read this thread before your set at the GM I would like to request a few songs.
First, Golden Lady, I've heard rumors that it's going to be covered on his upcoming album and he pulls it off so well.
It has got to be the smoothest rendition of that track I've ever heard.
For those who haven't heard it check the link below
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JTu05Iys48
I would also like to hear (Hide the) Salome, but that's a long shot.
However, I really cannot wait to see this show and get food at the hole in the wall mexican joint right next door to the Green Mill. |

Hello music lovers~ questions for those who have been at the Green Mill before:
1. Reservations? Possible? Advisable?
2. Cover charge?
3. If reservations are not possible, what arrival time would you suggest to get a decent seat or table?
Thanks. _________________ "'If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less, but to dream more; to dream all the time."

I think out of all the venues I've seen KE perform at the green mill is the best. So with this in mind you know everyone wants to get the best out of the experience.
It's first come first serve with no reservations so be aware of that.
Get there at least an hour and a half early if you want to get a booth, an hour if you want to get a chair/bar stool and half an hour if you want to get in at all. I remember when I first went it was standing room only but i was lucky enough to get a bar stool. The line was down the block 10 minutes before showtime.
As far as cover goes I think I paid $12 or $15 which is nothing compared to what I usually pay to see him. The drinks aren't that pricey either so it's a very cheap date. There's a Mexican restuarant next door on either side, the smaller one is way cheaper than fiesta Mexicana but I usually eat during intermission |
